After many years of waiting,Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2finally has a concrete release date, with the game launching this upcoming Halloween.

Since then, the game has undergone a number of development shifts, even changing studios, causing fans to believeit would get canceled.

Paradox Interactive had previously confirmed that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 is launching in 2025, and that time is nearly at hand. In a new trailer shown at Gamescom 2025, it was revealed thatthe game is launchingon August 20, 2025, with pre-orders available now.

The trailer showed off a ton of new footage, with the protagonist, Phyre, a powerful elder vampire, awakening in modern-day Seattle. There appears to be a dual-personality mechanic, with Phyre contending with a voice in her head, named Fabien, who seemingly has some level of control over her actions.

In Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, theplayer is trapped in Seattleand must learn more about a strange mark on the back of Phyre’s hand, as well as uncover the mysteries of her past. She’ll get access to tons of supernatural abilities on her journey, allowing her to cut through enemies, so long as she has the blood to fuel these powers.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has had one of the most troubled developments in video game history.
