One of the new enemies introduced with the recent update is Impaler. This enemy was found in the originalHelldiversas well. However, in the sequel, players believe it’s just too busted as it has a powerful damage output, knockback, and a range that just can’t be kept up with. Its chain stuns can outright destroy you within seconds.
Even the new enemy types, such as Rocket Tank, feel completely half-baked. They’re completely glitchy and broken to the point where facing them can make you never want to touchHelldivers 2ever again.
Arrowhead doesn’t realize that releasing such broken designs and mechanics is creating a miserable experience for everyone. When that’s combined with unnecessary nerfs and constant changes, things get even worse defending Super Earth.

On X/Twitter, the studio’s CEO Shams Jorjaniacknowledged the various issues and criticismthatHelldivers 2has received since the launch of Escalation of Freedom update.
I’ve gotten like over 200 tweets today with suggestions, opinions and thoughts on what people think.We have a lot of discussions going on internally at the studio as well as we evaluate this update and plan ahead.
Jorjani notes that he has received over 200 tweets from gamers with feedback, opinions, and suggestions regarding the update. The CEO has confirmed that the development team is holding discussions to evaluate the update’s flaws and bring further changes to the game.
However,the overall reception to the tweet has been mixedsince fans are quite upset about how the studio has handled the Escalation of Freedom update.
A number of players believe the way the studio handles game design and weapon changes should be completely altered to improve the state of the game and prevent further outrage.
On the other hand, some argue that the patch would’ve been perfect if weapon nerfs were axed completely since the game weapons had already been balanced in previous updates.
