As promised by Ubisoft in the roadmap revealed last month, Assassin’s Creed Shadows is getting a major update before the month of May ends. It’s due tomorrow, May 27, on all platforms.
Not only will AC Shadows players see new features and bug fixes, but there are collaborations with other gaming franchises. Yes, there’s more than one which took me by surprise.

From the Holy Land to Feudal Japan, the Assassin’s Creed series' locations have stood out in the gaming industry.
The major new addition is crossover content with Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight multiplayer horror franchise. The event will bring a new free quest that players can access from the Hideout upon unlocking Yasuke as a playable character. For people who complete the event, you’ll be rewarded with a free trinket and banner.
Players can also personalize the two protagonists with a special Dead by Daylight-themed cosmetic bundle in the store, where outfits, weapons, trinkets, and more will be available for a sum.
Dead by Daylight isn’t the only game AC Shadows will be crossing over with, as even indie hit Balatro will make its way into the game. A new trinket will be added for Nace, and an amulet for Yasuke called “Winning Hand” inspired by the card game Balatro. A legendary perk gives players a chance to trigger a random affliction effect on combo enders.

While this is a meaty patch, it’s not even the biggest one scheduled to drop. Theroadmap confirmsmany more updates are on the way, witha new rumorstating that the first premium expansion, Claws of Awaji, will be released sometime in September.
