Jonathan Majors, who was once among the rising stars of Hollywood, is facing a huge setback in his career after being accused and convicted of reckless assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. Majors, who has lost several major projects including his Marvel role, is facing up to one year in prison. His sentencing was set to take place on February 6, which has now been delayed to Jun 15, 2025.

The two women have shared their experiences from dating the 34-year-old actor between 2013 and 2019, describing him as“a controlling, threatening figure who isolated them from friends and career pursuits.”

Duncan shared that her relationship with theCreed IIIstar was marked by physical and emotional abuse at the hands of Majors.“You lose your sense of worth,” she told the outlet. According to The New York Times, Emma Duncan was engaged toJonathan Majorsfrom 2015 to 2019, during which she suffered alleged incidents of violence, including being slammed to a mailbox and thrown to the ground, along with being threatened with her life.
Maura Hooper, whose relationship with Majors overlapped with Duncan’s, echoed similar sentiments, detailing a relationship filled with manipulation and intimidation. She shared that she was“not allowed to speak to anyone about their relationship”before adding,“I felt trapped and alone.”
TheDevotionactor reportedly threatened Hooper even after their split, calling her a“w**re,”and telling her to“die; kill yourself.”Both women also recalled Majors“love bombing”them in the earlier stages of the relationship and would go on to threaten to kill himself throughout their relationship. In addition to the allegations made by Emma Duncan and Maura Hopper, the New York Times report also highlights Jonathan Majors’ problematic behavior on the set of HBO’sLovecraft Country.Citing the interview of 20 people, including the cast and crew members, the report states that Majors’ behavior depended on the people he was surrounded by.
The actor is described as having a friendly relationship with the“male technicians and craftspeople.”However, he showcased a contrary behavior when it came to women on set, who allegedly warned each other to“tread carefully around him.”

Zugschwerdt also recounted her experience with him, saying that he“got really up in my face”and made a degrading racial comment about her looks.
Majors’ lawyer Priya Chaudhry has told the Times that his relationship with Duncan and Hopper was “toxic” and he“did say hurtful things,”but denied most of the claims of physical abuse. As for the allegations made by Lovecraft Country cast and crew, Chaudhary claimed that the Emmy-nominated actor was never told that“anyone objected”to his behavior.
