Studio A-1 Pictures has leveled-up their game and every subsequent episode ofSolo Leveling season 2is a visual proof of that. The latest episode of the anime was delightful in many ways, from the exciting fight sequences to Sung Jinwoo’s overpowered aura. From the first season itself, the animation studio didn’t shy away from taking an original route, straying away from the manhwa.

The sequel season is no different in this respect as the anime features subtle changes and anime original additions that are catching fans’ attention. A seemingly unimportant scene has appealed to fans’ on Reddit. This scene is the perfect example of how A-1 Pictures is on the right path withSolo Leveling.
A-1 Pictures is on a roll with Solo Leveling Season 2!
Baruka’s introduction established his reputation as an extremely powerful yet overconfident villain. There was a substantial difference between the power levels of Jinwoo and his opponent However, this time around, Jinwoo had his shadow soldiers to back him up. A fan on Reddit pointed out how a small change in the fight sequence between Baruka and Jinwoo made the fight more enjoyable in the anime.
This Reddit comment is referring to the scene where Baruka overpowers Iron, and Jinwoo along with Igris join the fight. This scene in the manhwa focused more on Baruka’s menace and his power levels. The anime turned it around a bit by showing Baruka’s overconfidence and then absolutely destroying it as Jinwoo and Igris defeat him and fear takes over.

This wasn’t the only season that highlighted A-1 Pictures’ brilliance as they added another anime original scene. After the fight, Jinwoo retrospects his actions and we get a glimpse of his thoughts. The same thing happened in season 1 after he killed humans (Hwang Dongsuk and his party) for the first time. In the manhwa, his mental state isn’t explored as much as his trajectory with his strength.

During that fight in the previous season ofSolo Leveling, he made the conscious decision to dedicate himself to this race for power. While he’s not backing down, we can still see him struggling with the thoughts of killing other humans. Aside from this, there were many scenes throughout the episode that were a visual treat.
The highlights from the latest episode
The clash between Baek Yoonho and Hwang Dongsoo at the beginning of the episode was electrifying. However, Woo Jinchul’s interference was more exciting as he’s usually outside the battlefield. Jinwoo catching the eyes of the S-Rank Hunters and his power getting noticed is great build-up for future events. As for the best part of the episode, it’s undoubtedly the partnership between Igris and Jinwoo as they absolutely destroy Baruka almost effortlessly.
