Season 1 ofArcaneconcluded last month after giving us nine spectacular episodes. Set in the massive world ofLeague of Legends, Riot Games’Arcaneis nothing short of a masterpiece.
Arcanekept us hooked to our seats with its characters, story, music, and last but not least, the ground-breaking animation. Undoubtedly, the entire season of theLeague of Legendsseries was terrific. However, there are a few moments in the show that had our souls, and in this post, I’ve mentioned five such moments.
Best Moments in League of Legends' Arcane
5. Vander’s Fight
In the first two episodes, we learn that Vander is considered a legend in Zaun. Everyone in the undercity respects Vander and refers to him as the"Hound of the Underground."
Vander’s presence and voice on the screen were already enough to make us fall in love with the character. However, it’s also true that most fans were waiting to see Vander fight.
Fortunately, we finally saw him in action in the final episode of Act 1. And watching Vander absolutely dominating Deckard with his raw strength was a feast for our eyes. Obviously, he could not finish Deckard at first becauseSilcostabbed him in the back. However, Vander uses the shimmer in the last moments to put an end to Deckard while also saving Vi from the blast.
4. Jinx is Here
The first Act introduced us to Powder, a girl who wants nothing but to stand up to Vi’s expectations. However, she unintentionally curses everything she touches, the reason why Mylo gave her the nickname"Jinx."
In theLeague of Legendsvideo game, Jinx is a maniac who loves to destroy everything in her path. So, every LoL fan was waiting to see Powder finally transform into Jinx. Well, her first appearance in Episode 4 didn’t disappoint. Honestly, setting up Jinx’s reveal during the ambush by firelights was a brilliant execution by the creators.
3. Vi and Jayce Teaming Up
Vi andJayceare incredibly popular Champions inLeague of Legends. Vi is a character who relies on her fists against the enemy, and we saw her fighting skills in the first two Acts. However, in Episode 8, we finally saw her using the powerful Hextech gauntlets. On top of that, she teams up with Jayce, who destroys everyone in his path with his legendary hammer.
Watching Vi and Jayce fighting together was a delight for every LoL fan. From animation to fight choreography to music, everything about the scene was breathtaking.
2. Vi’s Second Fight With Sevika
Vi hatedSevikabecause of betrayingVanderand siding with Silco, so she was the first person Vi fought when she got back to Zaun after all those years. As expected, Vi overwhelms Sevika with her punches, but Silco’s right hand uses Vi’s emotion to turn the tide in her favor.
After that, everyArcanefan was waiting for Vi’s second showdown with Sevika, and we finally got that fight in the last episode. This time, Vi had the Hextech gauntlets to compliment her punches. Honestly, watching Vi bring down Sevika and screaming her victory was one of the most powerful scenes of Season 1.
1. Jinx vs Ekko
For us, the best moment fromArcaneSeason 1 was definitely Jinx’s fight with Ekko. Of course, watching two childhood friends trying to kill each other was heartbreaking. Moreover, the fact that Ekko had a crush onPowderwhen he was a child made that scene even more depressing. However, no one can deny that watching these two characters fight had everyone on the edge of their seats.
The switch between Jinx and Ekko’s childhood and the present fight was brilliantly executed in that scene. On top of that, the unusual animation style and the music made it one of the best fighting scenes in the animated format.
