Pokemonhave a list of stats (HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed), and each one has an effect on how they perform in battle. These stats may not seem like much, but they are sometimes the thing standing between a normal Pokemon and a legendary Pokemon.

20 Coolest Shiny Pokémon, Ranked

There are hundreds of shiny Pokémon throughout the series, but which is the coolest? This list can help players decide.

A Pokemon’s Attack stat decides the amount of damage they can dish out when performing a physical attack. These are different than special moves, whose damage is decided by the Special Attack stat.

This article will not include Mega Pokemon, Ultra Beasts, Legendary Pokemon, or Mythical Pokemon. If these were factored in, they would fill nearly every entry on the list.

10Aegislash (Blade Forme)

Royal Sword Pokemon

If this article was ranking Pokemon based on their usefulness in battle, Aegislash Blade Forme would be much higher on the list! This Pokemon has an impressive140 Attack stat, allowing it to deal devastating physical moves. It also has an equal Special Attack making it a damage-dealing powerhouse.

One of the bigger benefits of using Aegislash in battle is its dual Ghost and Steel-typing. This gives it four weaknesses, but a staggering nine resistances and three immunities! Good luck facing off against this Pokemon in battle!

9Wishiwashi (School Form)

Small Fry Pokemon

Wishiwashi has two forms, Solo Form and School Form. School Form is the Pokemon at its strongest, and this form is the default when entering battle (as long as the Pokemon stays above 25%). This Pokemon doesn’t just have a great Attack stat (140), but also impressive Defense, Special Defense, and Special Attack stats as well!

You may feel bad for the puny Solo Form but when grouped together, Wishiwashi is an unmatched threat. With access to great Water-type moves like Hydro Pump, Aqua Tail, and Dive, School Form Wishiwashi can be a huge asset in any team.

Peat Pokemon

Ursaluna was introduced inPokemon Legends: Arceusand has pretty specific evolution requirements (using a peat block during a full moon in PLA). While this Pokemon may be tough to get, it’s well worth the trouble as it has a staggering 140 Attack stat. Teddiursa and Ursaring are pretty notorious Normal-type Pokemon, but Ursaring gains a Ground-typing upon evolution which gives it a bit of an edge in battle compared to its pre-evolutions.

Its Attack stat is in line with many other Pokemon on this list, but Ursaluna has access to some great physical Ground-type moves! Moves like High Horsepower, Earthquake, Dig, and Stomping Tantrum can set this Pokemon above the competition and give trainers an easy victory.

7Iron Hands

Paradox Pokemon

Iron Hands is a Paradox Pokemon that resembles a futuristic version of Hariyama. This Pokemon has a hefty 140 Attack stat and, out of all the Pokemon on this list, probably has access to some of the best physical moves thanks to its Electric and Fighting-typing. MOves like Focus Punch, Close Combat, Wild Charge, and Thunder Punch can make Iron Hands an unstoppable force.

He’s also a favorite for players that frequent raid battles inPokemon Scarlet and Violetas he can absorb a ton of damage with his 154 HP stat and has some support capabilities as well! If you’re hunting for a great damage sponge, look no further than Iron Hands!

6Baxcalibur

Ice Dragon Pokemon

Baxcalibur was the pseudo-legendary Pokemon introduced in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet with an interesting and unique typing of Dragon and Ice. This dual-typing gives the Pokemon an unfortunate weakness to Fighting, Steel, and Rock-type moves, alongside the stereotypical Dragon-type killers of Dragon and Fairy.

Baxcalibur’s145 Attack statis certainly admirable, especially when paired with Ice-type moves like Ice Shard, Icicle Crash, and Ice Fang! Baxcalibur’s Attack stat can be raised even higher when it is hit by a Fire-type attack thanks to its Thermal Exchange ability.

Axe Jaw Pokemon

Haxorus is a beastly Pokemon with one of thecoolest shiny formsin the franchise.Dragon-type Pokemonhave some of the best stats in the game and, when it comes to the Attack stat, Haxorus outpaces them all.

The whopping147 Attack statpaired with Dragon-type physical moves like Outrage, Dragon Claw, and Breaking Swipe can make Haxorus a real contender in most battles. So long as players keep an eye out for its type weaknesses (Ice, Dragon, and Fairy-type), they should fair pretty well against most opponents.

Lazy Pokemon

Slaking is an impressive Pokemon with an enormous stat total of 670! This stat total rivals even some legendary Pokemon, like Regigigas and Groudon. ItsAttack stat of 160makes it easily stand out as one of the most powerful Pokemon in the series. There are some drawbacks to Slaking, like its Normal-typing and Truant ability.

A Normal-type Pokemon isn’t particularly powerful against opponents in battle, though there are some strong Normal-type physical moves (likeMega Kick,Hyper Voice, andTake Down) that players can employ to take advantage of this hefty Attack stat. The real setback is Truant, the Pokemon’s ability, which stops Slaking from attacking two consecutive turns in a row. This can cause real problems in a heated battle!

3Darmanitan (Galarian Zen Mode)

Zen Charm Pokemon

Unovan Darmanitan’s Zen Mode is alreadyone of the best Special Attack Pokemonin the franchise, so it’s no surprise that the Galarian Zen Mode would rank on this list as well. Galarian Darmanitan is an impressive Pokemon, with a 140 Attack stat, but it’s the Galarian Zen Mode’s160 Attack statthat really stands out!

When Galarian Darmanitan’s health falls below 50%, it transforms into Galarian Zen Mode. This form change not only gives it a huge boost to its Attack stat, but also gives it a rather contradictory Fire-type to accompany its base Ice-type.

2Palafin (Hero Form)

Hero Pokemon

Palafin’s Hero Form has not only a160 Attack statbut a whopping 650 stat total. This Pokemon’s base form may look cute and cuddly, but when it switches out in battle and then returns to the field, its Hero Form will emerge and it is a force to be reckoned with.

Hero Form doesn’t receive any other boosts aside from its enormous stats but with great defensive capabilities and offensive stats, it’s agreat Water-type Pokemonto have on a team. It is a bit cumbersome to swap the Pokemon out during battle, a requirement for Hero Form to trigger, but it is worth the trouble.

1Rampardos

It may surprise some players that Rampardos ranks as the highest Attack stat Pokemon in the game (barring legendaries, Ultra Beasts, Mythicals, etc). While it may not register as a great Pokemon to bring into battle, when equipped with powerful physical moves (like Head Smash, Stone Edge, and Rock Slide), this Pokemon can really deal some damage.

Rampardos' other stats leave a bit to be desired, with its 60 Defense and 50 Special Defense leaving it vulnerable to powerful Grass, Water, and Fighting-type moves. These downfalls can be avoided but if players are looking for a strong attacker, there aren’t many options that rival Rampardos.
